Product parameters of Mini Underground Mining Dump Truck with Loading Capacity 1ton to 5 tons
Narrow body dump trucks and wide body dump trucks are widely used in China. The following is a brief description of their characteristics and structural features:
(1) Suspension
Most off-road (mining) dump trucks use oil and gas suspension, especially those with a load capacity of over 45 tons, with almost no exceptions. This type of vehicle with a short wheelbase and particularly large mass is most suitable for installing and using hydraulic and pneumatic suspension, as it does not have the corresponding space to install traditional steel plate spring shock absorbers. The oil and gas spring cylinder of its front wheel also serves as the steering pin, and the outer cylinder is fastened to the outer side of the frame longitudinal beam, thus eliminating the traditional integral front axle.
(2) Steering
Due to the large mass of the vehicle and the high load on the front axle, the steering of the front wheels relies entirely on hydraulic power. To ensure safe and reliable steering, these vehicles not only use full hydraulic steering, but are also equipped with emergency steering systems. When the power of the steering system fails, the emergency steering system can ensure that it still has a certain degree of steering ability, allowing the vehicle to park in a relatively safe place.
(3) Braking
The mining area has multiple slopes and a particularly large vehicle load, therefore, the reliability of the braking system function also needs to be guaranteed first. In addition to the main brake function of the dump truck, it is also equipped with auxiliary deceleration braking capability: engine exhaust braking, hydraulic retarder or electric wheel to generator electric retarder function, advanced braking function design. At the beginning of braking, the engine exhaust braking is put into operation first; Then, the hydraulic or electric retarder jointly adds a deceleration braking function; Finally, the main brake of the wheels is put into operation again, greatly reducing the frequency of use of the main brake and often in its best condition, thereby extending the service life of the brake shoes.
(4) Transmission
Vehicles with a load capacity of less than 100 tons generally use hydraulic mechanical transmissions and traditional rear axles; Mass vehicle models weighing over 100 tons generally use electric transmission: the engine drives the generator, which then drives the electric motor in the rear wheels with current to drive the car.
(5) Using engineering tires
The tread pattern and structure of these types of tires are different from those of road vehicles and belong to the category of engineering tires, which can adapt well to the requirements of complex road surfaces.
